Where it will sit
Our shared platform scales a long way, and Accelerated adds faster compute and pre-cached delivery on top of it. Managed Cloud is for the point beyond that, where a site needs resources reserved for it alone but nobody involved wants to become a systems administrator.
- Dedicated CPU and memory reserved for your account rather than drawn from a shared pool.
- Still completely managed. Patching, hardening, monitoring, mail and the control panel stay our job.
- Storage you can actually use as storage. The shared-platform restriction on archival and non-website data does not apply to plans with reserved resources.
- The same edge network, the same daily offsite backups and the same control panel you already know.
- Bandwidth beyond the allowance billed at a flat $0.10 per GB, the same rate that caps our shared plans.
Specifications and pricing are not final and nothing here is for sale yet. When it launches we will publish the numbers the same way we do for every other plan, and we will say plainly what the pricing commitment is.
