Ask us anything
before or after you buy

Migrations, DNS, email, which plan fits, or something that broke at an inconvenient hour: there's a person on the other end who knows the platform.

Tell us what you're building

Before you write in

The answers people usually need

Moving an existing site to us

Get in touch before you cancel anywhere else. We'll talk you through copying files and databases, recreating email, and cutting DNS over so there's no gap. Most moves happen with no visible downtime at all.

Restoring something you deleted

You don't need us. Every account has daily offsite backups with 14 or 30 days of retention, and you can restore a file, a database or the whole site yourself from the control panel.

Email that isn't arriving

Nine times out of ten it's DNS: a missing SPF record, or MX records still pointing somewhere else. Send us the domain and we'll look at the records with you.

Hitting a limit on your plan

Storage, bandwidth, PHP memory or database size: tell us which one and we'll say plainly whether the fix is a tier change or something on the site worth tidying up first.

FAQ

More questions

What does “Rack1 Burst” actually do?

Burst is our AI-assisted resource allocation. It watches request rates, queue depth and resource pressure across the platform and allocates additional compute to your account when traffic spikes, automatically, in seconds, at no extra cost. It applies to processing capacity, not to your monthly bandwidth allowance, which stays exactly as published on your plan.

What happens if I go over my bandwidth allowance?

On our Static, Basic Shared, Accelerated and WordPress Optimized plans we will do our best to absorb a spike. A good month should not come with an invoice attached. If the excess becomes substantial or keeps happening we will get in touch, and additional bandwidth may be charged at a rate not exceeding $0.10 per GB; usually the better answer is a larger plan and we will tell you that. There is no other bandwidth charge and no hidden multiplier.

Is the price I sign up at really the price I keep?

Yes, for five years. Our Static, Basic Shared, Accelerated and WordPress Optimized plans carry a five-year price guarantee: the monthly price you start on cannot go up during that time, and existing customers are never charged more than someone signing up today for the same plan. There is no introductory rate that jumps at renewal. It excludes domain registrations, which registries price themselves, and Managed Cloud when it launches, which tracks hardware costs. The full wording is in our Terms of Service.

Can I move my existing site to Rack1?

Yes. Most sites move across without any downtime. Get in touch before you cancel anywhere else and we'll walk you through the DNS, email and database steps in plain English.

Where is my site hosted?

In Dallas, Texas. We partner with reputable, well-established data centre and network providers across the industry, chosen for their power, connectivity and track record. That is how we put your site on genuinely good infrastructure at these prices. A UK region is coming soon.

Are there really limits on everything?

There are, and we publish them. Storage, bandwidth, mailboxes, databases, domains and subdomains all have clear numbers on every plan page. Each MySQL database can hold up to 1 GB, or up to 5 GB on our Accelerated plans and WP Scale, and each mailbox up to 10 GB. We'd rather show you the ceiling up front than write “unlimited” and enforce a hidden one.

Or just go and pick a plan.

Every tier, every limit and every price is on one page. No account needed to look.
